Horizon North’s Modular Construction division integrates modern design concepts and technology with state of the art, off-site manufacturing processes; producing high quality building solutions for commercial and residential offerings including offices, hotels, and retail buildings, as well as distinctive single detached dwellings and multi-family residential structures.
Horizon North was selected to build the City of Vancouver’s and Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency’s first-ever modular housing project at 220 Terminal Avenue, bringing affordable housing options to local residents. Through clever use of innovative design ideas and a multi-point foundation system, the 3 story, 14, 875 sq. ft. building can be relocated and reconfigured to fit a number of different sites.
Horizon North manufactured the 38 modules that incorporate the housing project in our offsite construction facility and completed onsite installation of the modules in 4 months – about 30 to 50% quicker than conventional construction methods.
